HostGator is a web hosting service that I have used for many years. It’s one of the most popular web hosts on the internet, and there are many reasons why.

First and foremost, HostGator has excellent customer service. If you ever have a question or problem, their support team is quick to respond and help you out. They also have an extensive knowledge base that can help you troubleshoot any issue yourself.

Second, HostGator has a wide range of hosting plans to choose from. Whether you’re just starting out with your first website or need a high-powered hosting plan for a large ecommerce store, they have a plan that will fit your needs.

Third, HostGator has a ton of great features that makes it a very attractive web host. For example, every plan comes with unlimited disk space and bandwidth. They also offer free website builders and 1-click WordPress installs.

HostGator is one of the world’s leading providers of website hosting. They provide different types of shared web hosting, managed WordPress hosting, dedicated servers, and VPS hosting. Their services are available worldwide in 45 different languages.

Every person with an internet connection has probably heard of HostGator at some point. Last year, when my blog started to get some real traffic I had to move it from GoDaddy (more on this later) and Hostgator was just too good a deal to miss out on. They used to offer $9.94 shared hosting package that got you unlimited disk space and bandwidth, five domains, and even free private SSL certificates which is something they no longer offer at the moment. I decided to set up shop there since they also offered one click installation for WordPress along with Softaculous premium access which they gave away for free at the time.

Now my blog is hosted with SiteGround and I couldn’t be happier with the hosting service and support, but this article is about Hostgator, so let’s get back to it. Shortly after signing up for their $9.94 package I got an email from them asking if I would like to switch my account to a newer shared hosting plan called “BLACK” (see screenshot below). The difference between BLACK and the regular shared hosting was that you would get double disk space at no extra cost as well as daily off-site backups. For once in my life I decided not to question why anyone would give away free stuff for nothing because those extras were worth more than $10/month and since Siteground didn’t offer something similar at the time, I accepted the offer and switched over.

The Black plan has a lot of other limitations as well, but I wasn’t going to complain because for me it was just free money. Some things were not working quite right from the start, but since everything else worked fine, I just shrugged it off.

Things went perfectly smoothly until one day my site suddenly stopped working properly. It turned out that they suspended my account due to “excessive resource usage”. Now this is where it gets interesting. The system claimed I was using too many resources even though the only script running on the site was WordPress with a total of 23 plugins at the time (if you don’t know why this would be a problem read about how PHP-FPM works ). They asked me to upgrade to a more expensive plan or face being shut down.

I was obviously not happy with this and decided to switch hosts again. This is when I came across SiteGround which offered a lot of features for the same price as HostGator’s BLACK plan, so I decided to give them a try.

Even though my experience with Hostgator wasn’t great, I have to say that their customer service is amazing. They always answer their emails within an hour (usually much less) and they are always polite and helpful. So if you’re looking for a good web host with great customer service, HostGator is definitely worth considering.

HostGator’s prices are one of the best hosting prices that you can find. They have 24/7 customer support, which is something they offer for both their web hosting services and their domain name registration services. They have a 99.9% uptime guarantee, which is the same for all of their shared packages. They also have an award-winning live chat service, which is available 24/7 and they offer a 30-day money back guarantee.

HostGator also offers a wide variety of web hosting services. They have shared web hosting, which is great for small businesses and new website owners. They also have VPS hosting, which is great for larger businesses that need more resources. And finally, they have dedicated hosting, which is great for businesses that need an entire server to themselves.

Overall, HostGator is a great web hosting company with excellent customer service and a wide variety of web hosting services to choose from. You can’t go wrong choosing them as your web host!

In my experience, their plans are priced very reasonably when you consider all of the benefits they offer. So if you’re looking for a web host with reliable uptime, great customer service, and excellent hosting features, then I would definitely recommend HostGator:
